Adjusting to Life Back in the States

So I can't believe my summer is over, and I'm back at Mary Washington for my final year (yes my senior year, I can't believe it either). Even thought its been a few months since I've been back, I keep thinking I'm heading back to London in next week. I miss it so much. Well clearly that's not happening, but I am very excited to be back at Mary Washington. And I have to say I have been putting off writing this post because part of me doesn't want to end this chapter of my study abroad. But after hand writing a...Read More

Bustling Canary Wharf

Hi there! So here's a little post for the week! This one is a little different because I'm adding a paper I wrote for my History class. We were tasked with a psychogeography walk. We went back to one of our favorite places that we toured throughout the semester and write a paper on our experience. We were supposed to take in our surroundings and reflect on the experience. So here it is! Canary Wharf is a beautiful area of London. Once home to one of the docks in the Port of London, it was a bustling area for trade....Read More

Stonehenge and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Hi everyone! I have to say I missed blogging! I've been in London for the past couple of weeks, I don't have any other trips planned for the rest of the semester. But I do have some other exciting things happening! In a couple of weeks my lovely friend (and future roommate!) Hannah will jump the channel from Bilbao, Spain to visit me! I went to visit her back in February, which seems like ages ago now. I wrote a post about that as well so you can go take a look at it here. Another exciting thing is my...Read More

See the Sea

Well I've been in London for a month now! Can you believe it? I've honestly had the best time so far, exploring bits of my new home and other places. A group of girls and I did a little more traveling down to Brighton. It was honestly really fun! We decided to do this really last minute and planned it this week. We all decided to do a day trip because we figured that we could go back another time since it is so close. I've always wanted to go down to Brighton and I thought this weekend would be perfect...Read More

Eye on Bath

First week of classes are done! I've just started my second week, so I definitely am adjusting to the new way of teaching and enjoying some of them already. This semester I am taking; History of London, Museums and Galleries, Video Production, and Pixel Playground. History of London and Museums and Galleries really drew my attention when I registered for these classes because they are one part lecture and one part trips out into London as well, which is great for me because I want to explore as much of the city as possible. Last Wednesday we took a trip...Read More
