Rashaad has a totally different approach than the other artists. I really enjoy his work. Some of his pieces I don’t really understand but there was plenty I did enjoy. So here are a few!
Art of Papers:
I know we talked about this one in class but I really like the mix of traditional, maybe even victorian aspects in the piece mixed with the modern aspects make for a very visually appealing work. I also love the intricate flowers and vines extending out from the piece.
Pop and Pageantry:
I was drawn to this piece because of the different mediums. The LED screen adds an entirely different mood. Its almost like the Harry Potter frames where the images move.
Rain Has Fallen:
Now I didn’t really like this piece but I liked how incorporated loops of the model shaking her head the entire video. I thought the approach was clever.
